HSBC and Allianz Life Indonesia Launch New Product

- HSBC Indonesia and Allianz sign the 100th Preferred Strategic Partnership deal for HSBC worldwide -

HSBC Indonesia in partnership with PT Asuransi Allianz Life Indonesia (Allianz) launches “Proteksi Pinjaman Mitra HSBC”. The product also marks the 100th Preferred Strategic Partnership deal signed by HSBC globally. Rakesh Bhatia, CEO HSBC Indonesia and Jens Reisch, CEO PT Asuransi Allianz Life Indonesia, symbolically signed the partnership in Jakarta today.

“Proteksi Pinjaman Mitra HSBC” is designed as service enhancement by providing credit life protection to the bank’s Pinjaman Mitra HSBC customers. This protection allows customers to enjoy peace of mind, as a loan taken from HSBC will be covered by a life insurance policy provided by Allianz if the borrower dies due to any cause during the course of the loan. As a result, the borrower’s family members do not have to worry about how to settle the loan outstanding as the full outstanding will be repaid from policy proceeds. This is particularly valuable if the borrower is the breadwinner.
This product reflects HSBC’s responsibility to its customers, in providing value added products that provide piece of mind to the borrower.

The launch of “Proteksi Pinjaman Mitra HSBC” has been carefully selected by the HSBC Group to mark the 100th deal of HSBC Group Preferred Strategic Partners (PSP) worldwide. This demonstrates the HSBC Group’s ongoing commitment to Indonesia.

The PSP strategy aims to use a small selection of ‘world-class insurance providers’ to fill product gaps and to meet HSBC customers’ needs in countries where HSBC has branches. Allianz is one of the selected PSPs for HSBC to cover all territories in Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East. HSBC’s insurance business in Indonesia has grown strongly in just one year and hence it has been selected to showcase the signing of the 100th deal with a Preferred Strategic Partner across the HSBC Group.

Proteksi Pinjaman Mitra HSBC is available for HSBC’s Pinjaman Mitra HSBC customers through HSBC outlets in Jakarta.
