Jakarta, 24 October 2007

Offers Investment Benefits & Protection for the Retirement Years

PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk (Bank Danamon) and PT Asuransi Allianz Life Indonesia (Allianz) today launch ‘RencanaKU Syariah Pensiun’, a bancassurance product based on Sharia principles designed to provide customers investment and protection in their retirement periods. The product offers the most comprehensive range of features and enriches Bank Danamon’s product offerings to retail customers; from life insurance to coverage for critical illnesses.

“Our innovative solutions for the Sharia segment have placed us as among the leaders in the syariah banking in the country. Today, we are very proud to introduce RencanaKU Syariah Pensiun, which tailors to the particular needs of our customers during their retirement days,” stated Hendarin Sukarmadji, Sharia Director of Bank Danamon.

RencanaKU Syariah Pensiun is the development from the conventional RencanaKU and is among many products Bank Danamon and Allianz have launched since their initial collaboration last year when KadoKu was introduced, a single premium unit-linked product designed as a gift from parents to their children. “We are pleased to bring yet another financial solution in cooperation with Allianz, one of the most recognized global names in insurance,” added Hendarin.

“We are pleased that our strong partnership with Bank Danamon has been so dynamic.  We focus on the customers’ financial needs and meet them with the relevant products,” said Jens Reisch, President Director of PT Asuransi Allianz Life Indonesia.  “ ‘RencanaKU Syariah Pensiun’ is  intended for professionals, employees, and entrepreneurs who focus on preparing their retirement funds based on sharia principles,” added Jens.

Compared to currently available products in the market, RencanaKU Syariah Pensiun also offers superior product features, such as coverage for 38 critical illnesses which include cancer, heart diseases, strokes and even lupus.  This benefit allows the policyholder to receive a certain sum to pay for medical expenses incurred. Furthermore, the policyholder’s monthly payment will be paid by Allianz until the age of 65, allowing the funds to still grow.

RencanaKu Syariah Pensiun offers as well a yearly benefit paid to the policyholder from the age of 60 to 70.  At the age of 75, the rest of the fund value will be given to the policyholder.

The RencanaKU funds are invested in accordance with the Islamic principle of mutual help, with Allianz offering two types of funds, a Fixed Income Fund and Balanced Fund. All the benefits of RencanaKU are available at a minimum premium of IDR 500,000 per month.
