All over the world we find businessmen and women talking about golf. And all over the world we find golfers talking about business. Allianz takes an active role in supporting the sport, at all levels, in many of the markets in which it operates.
In 2009 Allianz agreed a unique, global partnership with St Andrews Links Trust, also known as the ‘Home of Golf‘. Golf has been played at the Links on the east coast of Scotland for 600 years, and the courses have been the setting for some of the sport’s most memorable moments.
Allianz is active in supporting golf tournaments in many countries, such as the St Andrews Links Trophy at the historic Old Course in St Andrews Links, one of the most prestigious amateur tournaments in the world. The company sponsors tournaments at all levels of competition – whether professional, amateur or youth - including the AGF Allianz Golf Tour and the Allianz Championship within the PGA Tour.
Allianz also works with a number of top professional golfers, including Ryder Cup winner, Paul McGinley from Ireland.
